BIO:
Nelson “Nelly” Cruz was born to Dominican Parents in the Bronx, NY, and raised in Atlanta, GA. He is a father of two beautiful daughters, a United States Marine Corps veteran, and has been in the IT industry for 15 + years. He always had a love for music since a little kid with the variety of music that was played in his home.
He wanted to become a DJ and received his Certificate from the Scratch DJ Academy in Atlanta, GA. Before he decided to become a DJ, his entrepreneurial ambition manifested. He started Custom App Designs in 2016 which is a Mobile App and Website Design company. He found that he had a passion for helping small businesses compete in the Mobile App space since a lot of small businesses do not have the major capital to spend on a Mobile App for their business. After successfully creating a Mobile App for Fuzion Radio, he ended up becoming the Vice President and was the majority financial contributor to the design of the studio.
After two years at the previous radio station, he decided to start Contrast Digital Media, LLC with his good friend. While starting his second business, he still had an itch for the music business. He was approached by his good friend Chelsa Speaks to start 101 TKO Radio, LLC. Now as the President and Chief Financial Officer of 101 TKO Radio, the radio station has been making a lot of noise within the short period of time since it was established. With his knowledge of IT, his passion, and the experience that he brings from his previous stint with Radio, 101 TKO Radio is becoming a force to be reckoned with.
